Her current role as system analyst harnesses her financial strengths to select, implement, customize and maintain systems for a fast growing emerging market corporation. Mary Anne Kendall - Secretary
Mary Anne has worked for over 25 years as an occupational therapist, and is currently working in a rehab program for adults with acquired brain injury. She loves working with and helping her clients achieve their goals. Mary Anne encourages her clients to do volunteer work and wanted to do more herself. After suddenly losing her father, Wes Hammond, to pancreatic cancer in 2003, she was looking for a way to support the work of those fighting the disease. When she, her husband, sister and brother-in-law met Chris and Jennifer at an event in 2008, they knew that Road 2 A Cure was the group to work with. In addition to strong organization skills, Mary Anne knows that teamwork is essential to meeting goals. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, making jewelry, reading, hiking and playing with her dog.
Kristen Bardwil - Director
Having graduated from UC Berkely with a degree in Political Economy and minor in theatre, Kristen is now working at Los Angeles' Center Theatre Group. Capitalizing on her background in online advertising, she continues to build and manage successful online campaigns, as well develop and maintain excellent relationships with local partners and vendors. She became involved in the fight against pancreatic cancer, when her mother Pam Bardwil was diagnosed with the disease in 2006. Acting as her mother's caregiver, she saw first hard the hard reality of the disease and learned that not enough is being done to put an end to pancreatic cancer and find a cure. Seeing Chris as an inspiration and believing in Road 2 A Cure's mission to bring hope and change, she is excited to be on board and lend her marketing knowledge and leadership skills to the table.
